Petroal has developed a comprehensive network of services in the oil and gas industry gradually develops trade with oil producing and refining regions in partnership with producers and refiners. We source energy products from a range of suppliers our sourcing is based on offtake and exclusive agreements which we have in place with various producers and refineries.
In the process, our traders, operators, finance and risk management teams provide creative solutions to overcome the logistical and financial barriers that may stand in the way of such transactions.
Trading

Our main activities are focused in the markets of Europe, Mediterranean, Black Sea, Central Asia, Middle East and Africa. In these markets Petroal has positioned itself as one of the leading energy trading companies to source from and to supply these markets.
Our Mediterranean operations evolve around a long-standing presence in Turkey. We are one of the largest suppliers in the region to end-user markets, refineries, and chemical plants., we serve the needs of utilities, distributors and refiners in distillate and fuel-based grades, maritime sector in bunker grades. Based on our sourcing capabilities in our core area we are utilizing arbitrage opportunities to supply oil products to our regions. Our daily trading operations and transactions are managed from our different offices and representations.
Logistics
Petroal has a global network of trusted partners and professionals, helping to ensure efficient and sustainable petroleum logistics.
Petroal is proud of its worldwide relationships which enable it to move oil almost anywhere around the globe. Our logistics team operates seamlessly with our trading desks to manage freight exposures and to add safety and efficiency to our physical transactions.
Petroal benefits from a wide range of land and floating storage facilities, including tankers, river-sea type vessels and rail tank cars, which helps us provide unique operational flexibility. Petroal currently has access to more than 300,000 cubic meters of storage capacity in the Mediterranean region which is strategically placed to take advantage of flows from the Mediterranean, Black Sea, Central Asia, North Africa and Middle East regions.
Finance
Petroal offers financial services, including financing and hedging in order to serve its clients more efficiently. We have longstanding business relationships with leading international banking institutions; this allows us to help our clients manage risk as they expand their businesses and open up new markets. Furthermore, we are an effective back-office service supplier to private refiners and traders, including the handling of claims, sales administration, and other services.

Risk Management
Petroal manages markets, financial and operational risks associated with trading and transporting commodities in significant volumes around the world. The principles of risk management are based on a disciplined and transparent approach to counterparty trading and management activities, monitoring of all relevent risks is performed on a continuos basis, in real time.
Financial Risk
Risk management functions are rigorously separated and independent from front office. Credit risk is managed at various levels under the control of the finance manager. Risks are reported to the highest level of the company management. We employ a wide range of techniques and metrics at corporate, portfolio or trading level, and our robust control process covers the entire life cycle of risk from inception to settlement.
Operational Risk
We pay extraordinary attention to detail in ensuring the operational suitability of the vessels, barges, trailers and wagons that we use to transport commodities. Shipping, cargo management, loading and unloading is overseen by dedicated experts together with independent inspection companies. Products in storage and the storage assets themselves are continuously monitored.
